Hello, there…

How we got here

It all started in September 2005 with a brick-and-mortar stationery boutique called The Envelope. Born out of a realized love of beautiful paper creations, The Envelope carried letterpress greeting cards, gorgeous gift wrap, journals, address books, note cards, and invitations for every occasion. The next twelve years were spent in retail paper heaven, as I curated a store full of lovely paper goods and personalized gifts, while designing and creating custom handmade invitations.

In 2017, as the world became increasingly digitized and the paper industry slowed down, I made the difficult decision to shutter my storefront in favor of a home-based invitation and design studio. This allowed me to focus more on the design and marketing side of the business (and unknowingly prepared me for what was to come in 2020).

This year marks my twentieth year in the creative industry, offering graphic design services and marketing in addition to fine paper goods. As I begin this next chapter doing less with paper and more with design, I feel it’s time to rebrand The Envelope with a name that reflects where I am in my life and my creative journey. “Pisgah Creative” is a nod to the place I find most of my inspiration — the forest.

I look forward to working with you to create something inspiring and beautiful.
